Term 2 and Important Information

The events page on our website is now completely updated!
2026 is proving to be an exciting year with lots in the pipeline. Some information for events isn’t complete, simply because we don’t have that information yet. As soon as we have that information, we’ll get it over to you.
This year Donovan’s will be celebrating 30 years of being open and we have a double celebration in the works.
On Saturday 18th of April we will be hosting a showcase and party. This event is open for ALL current Donovan’s students as well as past Donovan’s students to attend. This event will be held at Gorsebrook School. The showcase will start at 1pm, with a short presentation followed by a disco from 5-8pm to dance, catch up and simply enjoy each other’s company. The party will have a buffet and DJ. Tickets are £15.00.
For those of you who have been with us for some time, you’ll know when a student of ours is heading to dance college to study, we try our best to support in every way. Darcy, who started dancing with us when she was barely 2, is now preparing to study dance at degree level. Money we raise (after paying out expenses) will be going towards her training.
Alongside that we will be helping a charity close to our hearts at the showcase with a VIP guest: Chrissy, a dance mum whose daughter attended Donovan’s for over 15 years. Chrissy was a huge part of Donovan’s, even helping make costumes. To show her that Donovan’s is behind her supporting her on her journey we’ll be raising donations at the event.
All students are invited to attend the event, and I’ll build a programme with that in mind, so please do message me if you’re unable to take part. This information needs to be with me by the 31st of January please!
Please note, although I’m down to 6 days a week teaching, I’m still doing admin and lesson planning. So please give me some time to respond. As much as J supports my business, he would also like to see me some evenings so I can’t always be available in evenings.
